Finger Lakes Lacrosse is led be former All Central New York Player of the Year, and Loyola University Alum Tyler Gale. Coach Gale has been the Director of the Finger Lakes Lacrosse Club since 2009. He was an All-American at LaFayette high-school in 2005. Coach Gale was also a member of the South Australia Lacrosse League where he lived after graduation from Loyola University. Coach Gale currently works for Cascade/Maverik Lacrosse as the Product Field Testing Coordinator. He is also an assistant coach at Morrisville State College.
Sam Lewis joins the Morrisville lacrosse staff as an assistant coach for the spring 2020 season.
Lewis comes to Morrisville from nearby Cazenovia College where he served as an assistant coach for the past three seasons.
Lewis worked for Powell Lacrosse LLC for three years, preparing and customizing lacrosse orders and merchandise at lacrosse camps and tournaments, before getting involved in the coaching aspect of the game.
The Cazenovia native played for SUNY Albany for two seasons where he competed in the Division I NCAA tournament. The team were two-time America East Conference champions. He has experience with both the box and field style of play, working and playing at the Hill Academy. He is a defensive specialist for the FLLC.
Coach Longo has lead the Cazenovia to 3 state championships, and 2 state championship runner up title. They have also won 5 sectional titles in that time. The long time coach of Cazenovia has also been honored as coach of the year 3 times.
Throughout all of the championships, and all of the accolades, Coach Longo is known for being one of the founding fathers of lacrosse in Cazenovia. He has coached players on to successful careers and colleges such as Maryland, Denver, Lemoyne, Rutgers, and many many more.
Coach Longo adds great leadership to the roster of Finger Lakes Lacrosse Coaches. His winning attitude and lacrosse wisdom help round out the talented staff of the Finger Lakes Lacrosse Club.
